Brampton Flower City Centennial Rotary Club Semi- Annual Report for the period July 1/2007 up to December 31/2007 -2008.

Regarding our first six months of the Rotary Year, enclosed is a synopsis of our Club’s Accomplishments.Committees
1. We have established a Membership Committee to oversee the growth of the Club.2. We have updated and professionalized our new Member Requirements.
3. In regard to actual Membership, we have doubled our Club Membership from 10 to 20 members within the last six months in the last six months.
4. We have established a Finance Committee The Committee’s purpose is to oversee and ensure the finances of our Club. This will include monitoring our fund raising and charitable giving efforts and oversight over all Club expenditures and income.
5. We have established a Constitution Bylaw Committee. This Committee will recommend to the Club what bylaws should be adopted by the Club in order to help facilitate our Club’s future development.
Club Events
The Club has planned and executed Various Successful Community Events thus far this year with more in the pipeline.1. Our Paul Harris Award night in July was extremely successful.
2. Our first Blood Drive in August with the Canadian Blood Services in August was very successful.
3. Our First Tanduri Jerk Festival in August was very successful.
4. In Sept. we were the first Club in Brampton to actually implement the first Rotary Dictionary Presentation at Roundtree Public School. Upcoming Events for the Remainder of This Year.
Friday November 30 007 Club Members will attend a Play at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre.
Saturday Dec.1 007-6:30pm. Dhaman and Mrs. Kissoon have invited all Club Members to their daughter’s PUJA at 6:30pm. at the Devi Mandir in Pickering.

All of our Events have been covered very well by the local print media and we have had a couple of front page stories and we have developed some good contacts with good contacts with the Brampton Guardian and the Indo- Caribbean Newspaper and The Village Voice.Building Bridges
1. We have gained the Respect of the other Clubs in Brampton and the District in General.2. We have been represented at all major District Events so far into this Rotary Year.
3. We have developed contacts and access to Rotary District and Rotary International Personnel to help in the smooth administration of our Club.
